Bunless turkey/Zucchini Burgers
Ingredients
- 1.25 lbs. organic 99% lean ground turkey
- 1 small organic zucchini, grated
- 1 organic clove garlic, mashed
- 1 tbsp. organic red onion, grated
- Pink Himalayan Salt and fresh pepper to taste+
- 1 tsp. organic extra virgin Coconut Oil
- Fresh basil leaves to taste (I personally use 2 per patty)
Instructions
- Set oven to 425F.
- In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, zucchini, garlic, onion, salt and pepper.
- Make 5 equal patties.
- Coat lightly the bottom of a frying pan with coconut oil and heat.
- Add the burgers to the pan and brown the patties on both sides, for about 2 minutes each side. Set the burgers on the baking sheet and bake them for about 10 minutes.
- Once ready, grab a homemade turkey/zucchini burger; top with 1 cup grilled onions, mushrooms, red bell peppers, a slice of fresh mozzarella and basil leaves.
- Place on a bed of lettuce with 2 slices of tomato and shredded carrots.
- Enjoy with ¾ cup baked sweet potato.
