Fresh basil leaves to taste (I personally use 2 per patty)
Instructions
Set oven to 425F.
In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, zucchini, garlic, onion, salt and pepper.
Make 5 equal patties.
Coat lightly the bottom of a frying pan with coconut oil and heat.
Add the burgers to the pan and brown the patties on both sides, for about 2 minutes each side. Set the burgers on the baking sheet and bake them for about 10 minutes.
Once ready, grab a homemade turkey/zucchini burger; top with 1 cup grilled onions, mushrooms, red bell peppers, a slice of fresh mozzarella and basil leaves.
Place on a bed of lettuce with 2 slices of tomato and shredded carrots.
Enjoy with ¾ cup baked sweet potato.
