Take Care of Yourself!

The first step to becoming the best version of ourselves is to learn to unconditionally love and accept ourselves! I know this can be extremely hard for a lot of us, women… I mean, look at our history… how long have we been scrutinized by society, and how many of us feel self-conscious about how we look, behave or even say things? Don’t you all think it is about time we start redefining ourselves according to what we would like to look, say or do? I have struggled with my identity, looks and words for too long, until deciding that enough was enough! That was when I stopped hating my body, and I started looking at myself in the mirror and feeling comfortable in my own skin, with my beautiful natural hair color, my awesome curves and imperfections, and my exotic Brazilian accent! It was only after I decided to honor my own desires and passions in life, that I change directions and started moving towards my real dreams, and not what I thought society expected me to do. From that moment on, I started facing my fears, embracing myself and saying yes to everything that felt right and good, and my dreams started to take off. I still have a long way to go, and I am always improving myself, and my life, but I am so happy to say that today, I am finally enjoying each step of the way, while creating my beautiful dream life!

IMG_6417Everyone has heard that we need to learn to love ourselves first, so others can too. Unfortunately, a lot of people associate this with selfishness. However, becoming healthier and happier is a must if you want to more effectively succeed in your personal goals in life, and take care of your loved ones. If you love yourself first, you will start getting connected with your purpose in life, and you will stop waiting for the right moment– that seems to never come around– to act towards your unique goals and desires. In no time, you will start taking actions towards a better life, and as soon as you start taking the right steps towards your dreams, the right people, circumstances and possibilities will appear to support you on your new, more positive and loving journey.

If we start deeply loving and accepting ourselves for who we are right now, without any inner criticism, or worrying about other’s judgments, we will start looking within ourselves to find out that we are meant to live our lives to the fullest, for we all have a big purpose in life, no matter our size, race, age, wealth or gender. Once we stop worrying so much as to what others think about us, we will start looking for what we really need to create the meaningful life we deserve, and by taking charge of our lives with a loving heart, we will allow ourselves to create the life we deserve.

A better life comes in so many different ways because each of us has our own unique needs. Start getting in tune with your body, mind and soul. If you listen within yourself, and put your needs first, you can make your dreams come true!
