Bunless turkey/Zucchini Burgers

Comments Off on Bunless turkey/Zucchini Burgers

If you are looking for a delicious way of satisfying your hunger and nurture your body with finger licking food without worrying about weight loss, you are in the right place! This bunless turkey zucchini burger is one of my favorite dinners of all times! Although it is made with zucchini and turkey, it still gives me the meaty taste I am looking for in a burger, with way less calories and fat! I usually place my burgers in a bed of lettuce, but today, I was looking for a twist and instead of serving them with sweet potatoes on the side, I used the sweet potatoes as sliders and it was super! I hope you will enjoy as I did! Yum

Bunless turkey/Zucchini Burgers

Ingredients
  • 1.25 lbs. organic 99% lean ground turkey
  • 1 small organic zucchini, grated
  • 1 organic clove garlic, mashed
  • 1 tbsp. organic red onion, grated
  • Pink Himalayan Salt and fresh pepper to taste+
  • 1 tsp. organic extra virgin Coconut Oil
  • Fresh basil leaves to taste (I personally use 2 per patty)
Instructions
  1. Set oven to 425F.
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, zucchini, garlic, onion, salt and pepper.
  3. Make 5 equal patties.
  4. Coat lightly the bottom of a frying pan with coconut oil and heat.
  5. Add the burgers to the pan and brown the patties on both sides, for about 2 minutes each side. Set the burgers on the baking sheet and bake them for about 10 minutes.
  6. Once ready, grab a homemade turkey/zucchini burger; top with 1 cup grilled onions, mushrooms, red bell peppers, a slice of fresh mozzarella and basil leaves.
  7. Place on a bed of lettuce with 2 slices of tomato and shredded carrots.
  8. Enjoy with ¾ cup baked sweet potato.
